Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher Review
Some supplements love a standout name. Our Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher review brings us a product that uses some nonsense words but do the ingredients make sense?
Get this important part of a fat burner right and we could be looking at a new entry onto our top recommended fat burners list.
Still, there is a long way to go if they are going to be able to get there. What exactly does this product promise?
- Intense energy and fat loss
- Respiratory support
- Appetite control
This is about what we expect to see in a fat burner, the respiratory control could be an added bonus but isn’t essential. Fat burning is what we are really looking for.
They advise that our bodies need oxygen to burn fat. Still, it isn’t as though other products advise you to stop breathing for extra effect! It could be good but the ingredients will need to be reliable.
Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher: Who Makes This Fat Burner?
Here we have the US-based company behind this product.
They advise us that this is the first fat burner with respiratory support. We have seen this sort of thing before though. There is probably a reason why the industry isn’t crammed full of products that offer this.
With some pretty impressive endorsements, they have added to the legitimacy of the product though. The names include the likes of Stephan Bonnar, UFC fighter puts his name to this product.
They claim to be trusted by countless athletes everywhere and are clearly aiming to not create another generic bodybuilding supplement.
Beldt Labs include a 60- day money back guarantee which is always good to see. They even use a third party to inspect their products which are created in GMP certified facilities.
It comes with free shipping in the US. The company also offer this product in powder form and make other products that include a BCAA supplement and a creatine product.
They do seem to sell well on Amazon but for us, this isn’t always the most impressive thing though. We have reviewed countless products and some of the worst still seem to get good reviews on there. We have heard of reviews being manipulated which would explain a lot.
Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher Ingredients
This is where we can get to know this product properly. No hiding here.
The major problem it has is that every single ingredient is contained within one proprietary blend. This means we cannot see just how effective any ingredient can be.
The suggested serving is to work your way up to 3 capsules a day and cycle off for 2 weeks after 6 weeks. For us, a fat burner should be safe enough to use all year round.
The blend totals just 341 mg making a 3 capsule serving 1,023 mg. Not the most potent amount but if most of this is spent on stimulants it could be bad news.
Let’s see what they have to offer.
An ingredient you will find in many of our top recommended fat burners and for good reason.
It will give you an energy boost that will be beneficial for anyone using a fat burner alongside a lower than usual calorie intake.
The Anhydrous refers to this being the powdered form. This is good as it is easier to absorb.
It will boost your metabolism and increase your heart rate. This all helps the user to burn fat.
With added benefits to your focus, it can benefit the gym user as well.
With stimulants, you really need the dosages. As 250 – 350 mg is an optimal amount, the 110 mg per capsule making is a good amount.
An ingredient you are most commonly going to see in nootropic supplements. This is due to the fact that according to Exmaine.com it appears to be anti-stress for acute stressors and may preserve stress-induced memory deficits.
The same source also notes that it is stimulatory making that two so far already in this product. They also say that it has several theoretical interactions where caution is warranted. It may raise thyroid hormonal production since it is a precursor for its synthesis.
Some believe that L-Tyrosine can help the brain to fight fatigue during times of stress. The added energy can even boost cognitive performance.
It is thought that you need around 500 – 1,500 mg for the increase of energy. Since the total of the larger dose of 3 capsules is around the 1,000 mg mark, it is highly unlikely that you will be getting enough here.
Green Tea Leaf Extract
A proven fat burner ingredient and one that is more than just a popular drink.
It is a thermogenic meaning it heats the body up on the inside, causing it to cool itself down by burning fat. So, even when you are resting you will be burning fat.
By supporting energy levels it can help you to keep going for longer in the gym. Although a lot milder than the previous two ingredients, there is still some caffeine in Green Tea. WebMD advises that it contains 2 – 4% Caffeine, which affects thinking and alertness.
On their website, Beldt Labs do slate products that just contain a bunch of stimulants, they don’t seem to mind packing their product full of them!
Since a lot of supplements include 200 – 500 mg it is unlikely that you will be getting an optimal amount once again, to be honest.
Bitter Orange Fruit Extract
If this product can be faulted for cramming itself full of stimulants then it is about to get a lot worse for them.
Otherwise known as Synephrine we will start with the potential benefits. It is thought to be an effective metabolism booster. Bitter Orange does this through thermogenesis which we are a fan of.
It might also be an appetite suppressant which would usually make it a very good inclusion for a fat burner.
These are the sort of traits we are after but it is the potential side effects we could do without.
There have been some reports that have linked it to causing heart attacks or a stroke. According to WebMD, when combined with Caffeine it can cause high blood pressure and increased heart rate in healthy adults with otherwise normal blood pressure.
They go on to say that it is considered a banned substance by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
These are not the kind of traits we like to see and often check to see if a product includes this ingredient. It is included in various supplements but the fact that it is in a proprietary blend makes the concern even greater.
White Willow Bark Extract
It has anti-inflammatory benefits that could be useful here.
There aren’t enough studies to back up its use in fat burners really and a lot of sources will advise caution before using.
WebMD says the potential side effects include itching, rash, and allergic reactions as well as stomach upset. It is likely to be safe but not when taken for longer periods.
The same source suggests it can cause slight weight loss in overweight and obese people. This is in combination with ephedra and cola nut. Since ephedra has been found to cause some serious side effects of its own it is best to avoid this combination anyway.
Verbascum Thapsus Leaf
A traditional ingredient that is lacking when it comes to modern research.
Since it has traditionally been used to alleviate asthma, bronchitis and whooping cough it appears to be part of Skalds respiratory formula. This is thought to aid endurance and enhance fat oxidation.
Again though, more research is required to really back this ingredient. How much space is it taking up? We do not know because of the proprietary blend.
Another ingredient that is not a proven fat burner.
It is a mild stimulant that works in a similar way to caffeine in some studies, others dispute this. If you go by the studies that support this ingredient you receive enhanced focus, mood, and even more energy.
It is also thought to widen the airways which is why it might be included here (the respiratory side!). The effects are thought to last for longer than caffeine although like we mentioned, it is a much milder feeling.
There is one study that did not find any beneficial effects in terms of cognition and mood for Theobromine when compared to Caffeine and a placebo.
Elecampane Root Powder
The root of this herb is often used in medicine as well as foods to provide flavor.
It appears to be another respiratory ingredient as WebMD advise it is used for lung diseases including asthma, bronchitis and whooping cough although there is insufficient evidence to support this.
The problem once again is that there isn’t a lot of evidence and backing. Still, it has been used for respiratory problems which means it just might be beneficial for what this product is after. We’re not convinced and the gimmick that this product advertises isn’t the most enticing.
The problem once again is that we have no idea how much room this is taking up. The lack of information in this area makes it even more frustrating.
Black Pepper Extract
An ingredient we usually like to see but only if the other ingredients are beneficial.
The problem here is that many of the ingredients in this product are either ineffective or cause side effects. Since Black Pepper Extract is used to enhance the capabilities of other ingredients, this is not the place for it.
A wasted opportunity.
Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher Side Effects
This is a longer list than we usually care to see.
Firstly the caffeine content could be high due to the proprietary blend and the various stimulants. The potential side effects from this include vomiting, irritability, restlessness, increased heart rate and more.
Then there is Bitter Orange. This has been linked to causing heart attack and stroke and on top of this when combined with Caffeine as it is here it can cause high blood pressure and increased heart rate. The fact that it is in a proprietary blend makes it even more worrying.
The blend, in general, is something that is a problem when it comes to stimulants.
The potential for side effects is too risky in this product for our taste.

Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher Review Conclusion
We should start by saying this is not a product we recommend.
In fact, it is one we advise any potential user to avoid. The risk of side effects is not something we feel comfortable with given the ingredients they have gone for.
Also, it doesn’t have enough of the proven fat burners that make you believe it will actually work. We could single out Green Tea Extract, Caffeine Anhydrous and even Black Pepper Extract as beneficial ingredients. This isn’t enough good to reverse the bad though.
The proprietary blend is a major problem. If we do not know the dosages of the stimulants or Bitter Orange then we have no idea how at risk we are of the potential side effects.
A lot of products remedy this by at least giving you the Caffeine content. A proprietary blend is often a disguise for an underdosed product but the possible reversal of this here is worrying.
Because of the stimulants, you are likely to feel something. This is exactly what Beldt Labs say they dislike about other products in the industry. They have set themselves up for failure by coming out with this.
Still, even without these issues, it does not contain enough proven ingredients. The best products we have seen are far more effective, using the best fat burning ingredients to deliver a good, safe product.
Neither of those two words should be used to describe Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher.
