Here we have one of the bigger names in the female fat burner markets. Our NLA For Her Shred Her review will show if this product can be considered one of the best female fat burners out there.
But what does it take to be a good fat burner – female or unisex? Well, firstly the most important thing is that it is safe, usually, the best at this are the supplements with all natural ingredients.
On top of this, it should have effective ingredients that are carefully selected, as many as possible from the top fat burner ingredients list that we have compiled.
The ingredients aren’t enough on their own though, they must also be at effective dosages or they will not work. With this being the case, any supplement that uses proprietary blends will have a hard time of convincing us that they are worth purchasing since the dosages will not be available.
Shred Her has a decent reputation in the female fat burner market, but can it live up to its promises that include the following benefits for the user?

Shred Her Review: Who Makes This Female Fat Burner?
The people behind this product are NLA for Her. The company has been running since 2012 from California.
Their intention seems to be creating supplements and options for women that are more balanced than the regular supplements mainly aimed at the male market.
Their website doesn’t give a lot away, it is difficult to find information that might be important for those with allergies, and even getting information on their facilities is a challenge.
They do have a wide range of products though for women who enjoy the gym, with everything from this fat burner we will be looking at today, to omega-3 blends.
Their endorsements are mostly fitness models such as Lais DeLeon and IFBB Bikini Pro Amy Updike.
Their website does have a list of useful recipes and workouts for customers to use, it’s just a shame there wasn’t a little more info on their products and a money back guarantee.
Shred Her Ingredients
In terms of the important part, the ingredients.
The suggested serving of this is twice a day, we prefer it when servings are spread out in 3-4 times a day as this means you can spread the benefits out to work around the clock.
This is where our Shred Her review gets serious.
One problem we can see is that a lot of the ingredients are contained within a proprietary blend or ‘matrix’. It’s good that not all of the ingredients are in there, but the dosages not being available for the stimulants is a bit concerning.
If the dosage is too high then there could be potential side effects, too low and this supplement could be completely useless.
But let’s take a look at what goes into this anyway.
Green Tea Extract
A good ingredient and often found in the top fat burners on the market.
This is because it is effective and has a range of uses in a fat burner.
Firstly, it is an excellent thermogenic, this means it heats the body up inside, causing your body to burn fat to cool itself down. A great ingredient in that it makes your body to the hard work.
It can give you a mild energy increase along the way but it is the catechins that activate the thermogenic capabilities that make this such a good ingredient.
Just how effective is the green tea in Shred Her? There is no way of telling unfortunately since it is part of the proprietary blend. A shame for what is probably the best ingredient in this whole Shred Her review.
This is the strong version of caffeine that is often found in energy drinks.
A boost for your metabolism could be a benefit but it is more likely that this is to provide extra energy. The problem is, at burners do not need a lot of stimulants, they just need to promote fat loss.
An energy boost isn’t a bad thing, especially when taking a fat burner to compliment a lower calorie diet.
The danger here though is it is part of the proprietary blend. Stimulants, in particular, can put you at risk of side effects, so this is a concern from the off.
Citrus Aurantium (Syntherine)
If the multiple stimulants we can see already were a concern, then this ingredient is even worse.
Not only is it not thought to directly have much of an effect on fat burning, but it is also a potentially dangerous ingredient, particularly when combined with caffeine (and there is more than one ingredient that falls under that banner here). See WebMD for further information on this
Sometimes known as Bitter Orange, it has been banned in various countries including Canada and by some leading sports authorities so you should treat this with caution, especially since it is part of the proprietary blend so you don’t know how much you are taking.
Green Coffee Bean
A good ingredient and another thermogenic.
It is most beneficial in that it regulates blood sugar levels as well as stopping your body from absorbing new fat.
So the thermogenic properties burn fat and it even stops you from gaining more. A good ingredient in any female fat burner.
Again the quantity in this fat burner is a mystery.
This is another dubious ingredient and surprisingly is even found in some of the better fat burners so it is clear that many people believe in it.
For us, there just isn’t enough evidence to show it is truly effective. The main studies that support its uses for fat loss are in animal trials anyway.
Good for energy levels and may even boost your metabolism.
Since it is a caffeinated herb, this is another ingredient that can cause adverse effects when mixed with Syntherine, this should raise alarm bells for anyone who knows what to look out for in a fat burner.
This is an ingredient that sounds good, but most evidence suggests this does not directly aid fat loss. So another pointless ingredient potentially.
It does, however, help your body to break down food, so it could lead to helping your metabolism.
The problem overall is most of these ingredients are contained within the 1,180mg daily serving that is the proprietary blend. There is no way of telling how good or bad this product is, other than looking at the ingredients.
Shred Her Side Effects
This is where this product worries us the most, the side effects that can occur from consuming Syntherine alone are a concern.
Some of these include increased blood pressure, heart attack, headaches, stroke, fainting and more.
The fact that these are more likely when taken alongside caffeine and stimulants and Shred Her contains many (with no known dosages) is, even more, worrying for us.
The caffeine content can give adverse effects if the dosages are too high and these include headaches, jitters, diarrhea and more.

The first thing we have to say here is this is a product that should be treated with caution.

The potential side effects are what ultimately put us off. If a company uses proprietary blends, but the ingredients are all natural, there is still a case to be made that it can be a safe and effective product. Here they have unknown quantities of some potentially harmful ingredients.
