The people behind this product are Sheer Strength Labs.
They manufacture their products in the USA and comply with GMP standards. Based in Dallas they have a broad range of products with everything from post workout formulas to T boosters.
They say their products are based on a solid foundation of proven science and real results. We will see how true this is in the next section.
We do like the fact that they are against the use of proprietary blends, making their dosages open for all to see.
Their website is a little basic and doesn’t offer a whole lot of company information, just a lot of generic information. In fact, it is so generic that their refund policy page starts talking about partial refunds for VHS tapes and vinyl records that have been opened – clearly a cut and paste job from somewhere!

This is where we can find out a bit more and like we already mentioned no proprietary blends makes this a product we can take a good look at.

Their serving suggestion is 2 capsules before bed. We always say the most effective method is taking 3-4 times a day to spread out the effects. But that obviously isn’t going to be the case with a PM fat burner.

Not the strongest fat burner and it wouldn’t be unkind to say this is a bit of an unfashionable ingredient.
It’s not as if people are raving about it’s effectiveness but it is thought to help break down carbs when consumed alongside them.

This neurotransmitter has probably been included in this version of a fat burner because it promotes sleep and reduces stress. This is good, everyone needs a good night sleep. But what are we doing here?
We wonder if this product is going to give us a good night’s rest and the user wakes up feeling refreshed. But not necessarily burning any more fat than usual.
Our bodies actually find it difficult to absorb this ingredient. So for it to be truly effective you will need to take what is considered to be a slightly dangerous amount in order for it to work.
You do see this included in fat burners from time to time.
It’s main use in a fat burner is the diuretic effect it has on making the user need to urinate and get rid of excess water.
The problem with this is unless you plan on wetting the bed through the night, this is an ingredient that if it works as intended, will have you up running to the toilet in the middle of the night.
The way it works is not ideal and it has no other fat burning benefits.
Cheers to this one, this is the ingredient most famously found in beer.
Some studies point to the alpha acids in hops that might promote fat burning effects. But the studies are in their infancy. There isn’t enough evidence to truly support such statements.

Good for stopping restlessness and calming muscles this ingredient is clearly included to give you better rest and has no fat burning qualities. Just like many of the other ingredients here.

It helps you brain to relax so this will help you to improve the quality of your nights rest. It is also thought to lessen the time it takes to actually fall asleep as well as combating jet lag.
A good ingredient for a nights rest, but there isn’t any reliable evidence that this also promotes fat loss.
A disappointing ingredient profile in terms of fat burning, this is better described as a sleep enhancer.
There really isn’t much in the way of metabolism boosters or thermogenic ingredients that we like to see in a good fat burner.

The good news is there are no potential side effects. Although the Dandelion may increase your need to get up to go for a pee in the middle of the night.
The main benefit is the peaceful night’s sleep, but minimal fat burning will occur.

Whilst this is a novel idea, that is all it is.
The question you should be asking yourself of a product like this is, it it more effective than a regular fat burner? The answer is a resounding NO!
Sure, it will leave you feeling relaxed and help you get a good night sleep, but part of how fat burning works is by stimulating your body so it actively burns fat.
The idea is good but the application is disappointing. In fact, we would be very surprised if this product had virtually any effect on your fat burning.
With so many key ingredients missing, where are the thermogenics like Green Tea Extract and Cayenne Pepper? These are the sort of ingredients we should be seeing from an effective fat burner. A key mistake that stood out in our Sheer Shred PM review.
