Prime Male vs Angry Supplements Monster Test

Two T boosters to put to the test, but which supplement from our Prime Male vs Angry Supplements Monster Test review will give us results?

They can’t just rely on fancy packaging, the ingredients are what will really set these two apart. But what is it that we are looking for from a T booster?

The following is the minimum that we expect:

  • More Strength
  • Enhanced Libido
  • Elevated Mood
  • Increased Energy

Of course, safety is important. Since our T levels drop year on year from around the age of 30, it is important to keep them topped up. Which product will do just that?

Time to get to know them a little better.

Prime Male vs Angry Supplements Monster Test: Who Makes These Products?

PropuraPrime Male Testosterone Booster Review

The people behind Prime Male are UK based Propura

They have a great reputation with a ton of people taking to the net to post their before and after profiles.

They only use 100% natural ingredients. Propura also offers a money back guarantee which we always like to see.

If you are a fan of endorsements then Prime Male have The Rocky legend Dolph Lundgren as an advocate.

The shape the guy is in is testament alone.

Angry Supplementangry-supplements-monster-test

The Florida based company behind Monster Test provide a 30-day money back guarantee. Like we said, this is always a good thing.

They proudly say they make their products in the USA and talk about how potent the formula is.

With a company of their size usually comes a large catalog of products. This is the case here and the likes of Garcinia Cambogia and sleep aids are just a couple from their extensive range.

They say this product gives you:

  • Muscle mass
  • Strength
  • Sex drive

This is standard stuff, but let’s see if they can do it.

Prime Male vs Angry Supplements Monster Test Ingredients

The first thing we notice here is that there is a big proprietary blend in Monster Test.

It covers numerous ingredients and a big 5,452 mg. It also means we cannot tell what the dosages are of these ingredients. The suggested serving also favors Prime Male.

Angry supplements advise taking 4 capsules in the morning. This means your T levels won’t be topped up all day long. Prime Male have got this right, 3-4 capsules over the course of the day ensuring T levels are always maintained.

Right, time to see what goes into each product.

Mutual Ingredients

Vitamin D3

Up there with the best ingredients for any T booster.

It is good to see both products include this. It is thought that low levels of D3 are linked to low T levels. This is why choosing a supplement like a testosterone booster is good, for keeping D3 levels up.

Our bodies actually create their own when our skin is exposed to direct sunlight. The problem is that many of us are deficient. Clearly, we aren’t getting enough rays.

The dosage in Prime Male reflects the importance of this ingredient. 5,000 IU is a great amount that will get your T on the rise.

Monster Test has not gone down the same route. They have included a tiny 128 IU. This will have little effect.

Vitamin B6

Another good selection.

Good for stimulating androgen receptors it is an ingredient that encourages the testes to create more T.

You will find lots of ingredients that inhibit the Sex Hormone Binding Globulin in a good T booster. B6 is one of them. This means it frees up your testosterone that is otherwise bound and unavailable for use.

There are other benefits as well. It supports your immune system and even helps to break down proteins. Since our bodies cannot store B6, keeping it topped up is important.

There is 5 mg in Prime Male. Although this is an optimal amount Monster Test has 25 mg which is even more likely to get to work.

Magnesium

Another top ingredient, we like to see Magnesium in a T booster.

It is another that inhibits SHBG and The Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis discusses how men with more magnesium in their blood tend to have higher levels of free T.

Who has dosed it better?

Prime Male have included 100 mg, a very good amount and a safe one. Monster Test has made this a potent dosage at 500 mg. This isn’t great though.

Since WebMD says that 420 mg is the recommended dietary allowance for men 31 and over.

This is the daily total. Don’t forget we also get Magnesium from our diet. This added to the 500 mg puts you at risk of side effects. Some of these include stomach upsets, cramps, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and more.

Not a good idea from Monster Test.

Zinc

One of the better ingredients in this review.

Zinc is good for stimulating the luteinizing hormone. This communicates with the testes to create and release more T.

There is also the fact that our bodies cannot create more testosterone without it. Therefore it is an important ingredient.

Prime Male have gone for a very good 30 mg, an optimal amount that will really work.

With Monster Test going for 50 mg, this might seem better but again, our daily tolerance is around 40 mg. We get Zinc in our diet and the dosage is too high anyway.

This can put you at risk of fever, coughing, fatigue, stomach pain and various other issues.

D-Aspartic Acid

Another brilliant ingredient.

If you want T, and fast then this is the ingredient.

Studies have shown that by supplementing DAA, it can increase T levels by up to 50% in under 2 weeks!

It stimulates the luteinizing hormone so it really gets your body creating more T.

It gets the dosage it deserves from Prime Male. At 1,600 mg it is a great amount. Monster Test would have to use a lot of their proprietary blend to include an optimal amount here. As a result, we are skeptical over its potency.

Ginseng

A traditional ingredient it helps you to deal with the effects of stress. Because of this, its impact on the body is a lot lower. Good news as stress is a known killer of your T.

There is a study that shows that rats with 5% Panax Ginseng in their diet for 60 days have shown significantly increased blood testosterone levels. This sounds good, but we do prefer to see human trials.

However, Ginseng is known to be a libido enhancer and will even keep prolactin down.

At 120 mg, Prime Male have gone for another great boost. Monster Test has included it in their proprietary blend once again.

Boron

Another effective T booster.

Boron is a mineral that enhances the benefits of other ingredients including Magnesium.

The last mutual ingredient here and it is another that inhibits SHBG. Examine.com shows us how much free testosterone Boron can provide. Boron = more free T.

The over 50’s will appreciate the fact that it is linked to promoting prostate health. Although, further studies are required.

Since it is also good for building muscle, Prime Males 5 mg is a good amount. It is once again in the proprietary blend for the Monster Test pills.

Individual Ingredients

Since Monster Test includes 27 main ingredients, we have selected a few notable ingredients from both.

Prime Male

Luteolin

A good ingredient for testosterone as it lowers estrogen. It even encourages the body to make more androgen. Both of these things result in more T.

Derived from citrus fruits it is a natural and effective ingredient.

The 60 mg in Prime Male an effective amount.

Mucuna Pruriens

The sort of ingredient we’re always looking for in a T booster.

It reduces the amount of estrogen and prolactin. Examine.com actually discusses how it works against prolactins suppressive effect on libido and testosterone.

The libido enhancing trait is great for any mature male and the 300 mg is what we want.

Nettle

An aromatase inhibitor that prevents your body from converting T into estrogen. This is more of a problem the older you get so it is a clever idea from Prime Male.

Another that stops SHBG from being so effective. The beta-sitosterol in Stinging Nettle is what is thought to help boost testosterone levels.

Prime Male have done well by including an optimal 160 mg of this ingredient.

Angry Supplements Monster Test

Vitamin A

An antioxidant that you don’t really see in T boosters.

It is thought to be good for maintaining healthy muscles. This is because it protects you from free radicals. These appear when your body is stressed from a workout. They can really impact your gains in a negative way so this might just be a good inclusion.

It even helps with the recovery process of muscle building.

A big 2,000 IU is the dosage in Monster Test pills, a good amount.

Bulbine Natalensis

We have to say we are not a fan of this ingredient.

It is the potential dangers that concern us. More independent research is required but what we hear is that it can increase sex drive and stimulate the luteinizing hormone.

This might not be without a price though. There are studies that show it can negatively affect the liver and kidneys (see NCBI.com) in rodents.

We don’t rely on nonhuman trials but it definitely makes us a little worried. Especially since we don’t know the dosage. Yet again, it is in the proprietary blend.

Tribulus Terrestris

This at one time, was believed to be the next big thing in terms of boosting testosterone.

Since this time, the studies have not been as kind.

Still, it is credited with other uses. Examine.com says it has been shown to be an effective libido enhancer. Although, they also comment on its limited use for power output and testosterone enhancement (which it has repeatedly failed to do).

The dosage would be good to know so we can see if it will boost libido or not.

Tongkat Ali

Mostly known for being an aphrodisiac. It is Examine.com that say there is plenty of evidence to support this. They go on to say that there is a lack of evidence in terms of testosterone boosting but it might be an effective anti-estrogen ingredient.

It does have some strengths but we still need to know the dosage.

Prime Male vs Angry Supplements Monster Test Side Effects

The easy part here is to say that Prime Male has nothing in it that should concern you. The dosages are all safe and optimal.

Monster Test, however, is not so simple. Both Zinc and Magnesium are dosed too high.

Therefore the potential side effects include fever, coughing, fatigue, stomach pain, cramps, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting among others.

Although Bulbine Natalensis has only been tested on rodents it has been found to negatively affect the liver and kidneys. This means it is not exactly risk-free.

The proprietary blend is also a concern. They are not afraid to go down the overly potent route so knowing the dosage would be beneficial.

Considering that Prime Male is aimed towards the over 50’s, it is to its credit that it is more effective than a general T booster.

It has loads of the best ingredients at optimal dosages making it one of the most effective we have seen.

We like that it is safe. It’s only when you see the risks other supplements take that you appreciate a truly safe product.

That was part of the problem for Monster Test. They went overboard on the Magnesium and Zinc and some of the other ingredients were questionable.

They went way too low on their D3 dosage and included too many unproven ingredients, making it a product we do not recommend.

You get no such problem with Prime Male. It stands up nicely against pretty much any T booster, no wonder so many people are huge fans.

For a boost of testosterone that will really work and be safe, choose Prime Male.
