Can this female fat burner make it onto our top recommended female fat burners list? It will be up against some strong competition if so.
What is it that we are looking for form this product if it is going to impress?
The following is a good start:
- Burn fat effectively
- Be safe
- Suppress appetite
- Increase energy
Anything less than this and it won’t stand up to the better supplements we have seen.
Firstly, let’s get to know the people behind the product.
Oxy Lean Elite Review: Who Makes This Fat Burner?
Gen One Labs
The US-based company behind this product are Gen One Labs.
They are big on the social media and really get behind anyone who posts their results from using their products.
We like that they have a 100% money back guarantee, this always adds to the legitimacy of a company for us.
According to their site, they offer extensive staff training programs in the retail industry, an unparalleled range of the highest quality products, as well as an intense commitment to quality supplements at exceptional values.
The commitment to higher standards is good.
Gen One Labs also make a sleep aid supplement as well as a carb buster.
Let’s see how all of this translates into their female fat burner.
Oxy Lean Elite Ingredients
This is where we can really see how effective this supplement can be.
They advise taking one capsule up to three times per day 20 minutes before a meal.
The bad news is that it is made up of one big proprietary blend. This means we do not get to see all the dosages.
Because of this, we won’t be able to see if an ingredient is underdosed or dosed too high and dangerous. This is particularly problematic because it contains stimulants. Still, let’s see what it has to offer.
This is part of the risk of using a proprietary blend.
With stimulants, you really need to know the dosage. This is the case for our top recommended fat burners.
This is the powdered form that is easily absorbed by the body. The metabolism boosting effect will have you burning fat by increasing your heart rate.
The increase of energy that you get from stimulant such as this is important in fat burners. Since a lot of people are using them alongside a diet that restricts calories, more energy is always good.
It has also been found to help the user focus, something that is useful in the gym.
The problem is we don’t know the dosage. The caffeine content could be quite high and the female market usually has a more considerate amount in their supplements.
Too much caffeine can cause potential side effects such as irritability, restlessness, nausea, increased heart rate, and insomnia among other things.
Bauhinia L Extract
Not a common ingredient for a fat burner but one that could be beneficial.
It might be useful for controlling insulin levels. In terms of fat burning, this is good as when our blood sugar levels fluctuate it can make us feel the need to reach for a sugary snack. This, in turn, is not exactly good for fat loss.
The more insulin the more fat retention.
It is a plant that grows in tropical climates and is responsible for thyroid gland related metabolism boosting.
It encourages your body to break down fats quickly and effectively. This will burn calories and even enhance your mood.
It could be an effective ingredient but it is understudied at present. This means we have no idea how much an ideal dosage should be. Also, we have no idea how much is in this supplement anyway because of the proprietary blend.
A good ingredient, for a nootropic!
It has been used for hundreds of years due to its antioxidant capabilities. It is even thought to reduce anxiety and retain memory.
This all sounds good and anything that can help you to relax should be considered a good thing. Still, a strange inclusion in some ways.
A random, placebo-controlled double-blind trial proved successful as it produced excellent results for the retention of memory as well as functioning.
The study did find some side effects, but these dosages were higher than what your average nootropic supplement would use.
It does soothe the brain making it a useful ingredient to counter the stimulant effects of the caffeine included. This is still us being kind and it doesn’t really warrant its place in a fat burner for us.
The dosage would be nice to see how much room it is taking up in this supplement.
We need more proven ingredients that have the backing of human trials.
DMAA (1,3 dimethylamylamine)
Typically found in pre-workout supplements, it is a controversial inclusion, to say the least.
It is a banned substance in various sporting organizations and Exmaine.com advise that it is more recently used as a neurological stimulant and party pill. They also advise that it gives a false positive in drug tested competitions for amphetamines and thus should not be used by competing athletes.
This is not the sort of ingredient you want to be taking, especially if you are drug tested as an athlete.
It is thought to be able to boost focus which of course would help with your workout but not directly aid fat burning. Some people suggest it can boost thermogenesis but there isn’t a lot of professional backing to support this.
Still, it could be really effective but you wouldn’t want to risk the potential side effects.
It has even been linked to causing heart-related issues and even death. Since we don’t know the dosage this causes even more concern for us.
A good place to start with this one is by referring to Examine.com who advise that this ingredient is very similar in structure to Yohimbine, and probably has similar effects as well. They also say it may be more potent but limited evidence exists.
This is worrying in two ways, firstly Yohimbine has been found at times to cause some pretty nasty side effects.
It is thought to be an effective fat burner by enabling fat burning to occur whilst still keeping muscle definition.
The side effects associated with this ingredient are rapid heartbeat, jitters, nausea, and headaches.
WebMD advises that Yohimbine is possibly unsafe as it is linked to reports of severe side effects including irregular or rapid heartbeat, kidney failure, seizures, heart attack and others.
For us, the potential fat-burning benefits are not worth the risk. Since it is potentially more potent than Yohimbine you need less of it for it to cause the above. As we have no idea how much Oxy Lean Elite have included, it could be bad news.
An ingredient linked with thyroid health it could also have benefits for sexual health.
You will find that a good source of this is Brazil Nuts. Selenium protects the thyroid from oxidative damage and can reduce inflammation.
An essential mineral for a healthy body it can affect the way our bodies use carbs and protein. It could be an effective antioxidant that protects us from free radicals which can protect us from disease.
This could be a useful ingredient and an ideal dosage would be around 200 mcg. Since we have no idea how much we are getting we have no idea if it will work.
We are promised appetite suppression as well as appetite control. So far we are seeing very little evidence of this.
An ingredient one would usually see in a testosterone booster it still might have its place here.
This is because it plays a key role in energy production. However, it is rare to have a deficiency due to its prominence in our diets. You can find it in leafy green vegetables, cereals, and nuts to name a few.
It helps the body to convert carbs and fat into energy. This makes it a useful inclusion as anything that can burn these two off has a place in a fat burner. Without Magnesium our bodies would not be able to produce energy.
One study in particular found that supplementing Magnesium is beneficial for insulin resistance. Since this is good news for fat loss they have been clever to include it when a lot of others choose not to.
Still, the dosage is required to see if this will work in this supplement. Since we don’t have it we cannot tell.
Otherwise known as Vitamin B3 this ingredient is an effective one.
You will find it in multivitamins as well as fat burners due to its benefits for cardiovascular health as well as energy production.
It helps to lower the amount of bad cholesterol as well as increase the amount of good (as confirmed by WebMD). On top of this, it even has links to skin benefits.
Examine.com does comment that supplementation of pharmaceutical doses of Niacin does not appear to influence body weight in any significant manner.
It has been linked to reducing the risk of a second heart attack in those who have already experienced one although there are studies to negate this.
The dosage is very important once again and the proprietary blend has really let this product down.
Oxy Lean Elite Side Effects
This is where we usually assure the reader that you should be free from side effects but unfortunately, this is not the case.
Because of the potentially dangerous ingredients, Oxy Lean Elite should be avoided in our opinion.
The potential side effects of using this product as down to the inclusion of DMAA and Rauwolscine mainly. Still, the fact that we do not know the dosage of Caffeine Anhydrous is also a concern.
The potential side effects include heart-related issues and even death from DMAA. Also, rapid heartbeat, jitters, nausea and headaches, kidney failure and heart attack from Rauwolscine.
A worrying list there. The dosages might be fine but we prefer a risk free approach when using supplements.
Oxy Lean Elite Review Pros and Cons
Oxy Lean Elite Review Pros
Oxy Lean Elite Review Cons
Oxy Lean Elite Review Conclusion
This is a product we really do not recommend.
We will get to the lack of safety in a minute but firstly, it is missing some of the key fat burning ingredients.
The likes of Green Tea and Cayenne Pepper are proven thermogenics that will get your body burning fat to cool itself down.
Then the appetite suppressants like Glucomannan are not here. These are all natural ingredients that have been proven to help burn fat.
For a female fat burner, it does not seem to be as kind on the body as many of the better alternatives we know of.
The potential side effects make it a supplement we are very wary of and not in a good way. You will find many resources that point to the fact that you should avoid DMAA and anything that resembles Yohimbine.
What it does right is include the likes of Caffeine Anhydrous and Bacopa Monnieri. These are two decent ingredients but the proprietary blend undoes all the good work here as we don’t know if there is enough or too much of either ingredient.
It is likely to make you feel like you are experiencing something different because of the stimulants. In reality, this is just one element of fat burning, it needs more substance to back it up.
The only other thing we can say is the serving schedule is favorable. Other than that, avoid this fat burner and use a proven effective and safe option.
