NutriGlam NutriBurn Review

Today’s NutriGlam NutriBurn review gives us a chance to look at a product that has been making some waves online.

It has built up a steady reputation but how much of this is clever marketing, and how much is deserved because of the ingredients and dosages?

The company behind it have done enough for it to grab our attention so we will be putting it through its paces.

If it is going to make it onto our top recommended fat burners list, then it needs to do the following:

  • Burn fat effectively
  • Be safe
  • Suppress appetite
  • Increase energy

This is the least we expect. Let’s start by getting to know them a little first.

NutriGlam NutriBurn Review: Who Makes This Fat Burner?

Nutri GlamNutriGlam NutriBurn

This US-based company is headed by Isla Machado.

She appears to be building a brand around the Nutri Glamorous book. There isn’t any actual useful information on the about us page, instead of the usual lines about wanting to help etc.

With a good list of products that include the likes of Vitamin C serum and women’s daily vitamins, it has a few supplements you don’t always see.

With a YouTube channel that seems to be more useful, it isn’t easy to find a lot of useful information about this brand.

They say this is a thermogenic fat burner that is suitable for both men and women. We can’t find anything regarding a money back guarantee which is a bit of a shame.

In terms of the type of promises you get, these include – supercharged weight loss, greater focus, and energy, supreme appetite control.

Let’s see if the ingredients can back these claims up.

NutriGlam NutriBurn IngredientsNutriGlam NutriBurn Ingredients

This is where we can really get to know a product and see if it worth buying.

The early signs aren’t great though. This product is made up of 3 proprietary blends.

This means that since all their ingredients are in these blends, we don’t get to see their dosages. As a result, it is hard to gauge how effective each ingredient is.

The suggested serving is also not ideal. Taking one or two capsules a day doesn’t allow you to spread out the fat burning benefits. Also, they advise taking two weeks off from using every 8 weeks which isn’t great.

Ideally, you want a product that is safe to take 3-4 times a day. This will really ensure you are burning fat around the clock.

Interestingly, this product’s formula used to contain Synephrine but they have removed it. A wise decision given the potential side effects you can get from taking it.

Caffeine

A good start to the ingredients and one you will find in many of our top recommended fat burner products for a reason.

The energy boost you will get will obviously be helpful. This is even more the case for anyone intending on using a fat burner alongside a diet that restricts calories.

In terms of fat burning, it is pretty versatile and boosts metabolism. This is why it is found in nootropic and pre-workouts, it has so many uses.

The main problem is the dosage. As with any stimulant you really need to know how much you are putting into your body.

The one capsule dosage should be fine as the blend it is in totals 450 mg and includes other ingredients. If taking the second capsule, it means you could be consuming more than a comfortable level.

Potential side effects from too much Caffeine include the likes of jitters, sleep problems, irritability, and others.

Phenylethylamine HCI

Not a great ingredient here.

It might be safe to consume but in terms of effectiveness, it doesn’t seem the best. Examine.com describes it as an important molecule in the brain with limited supplemental usage due to it being rapidly broken down into active components.

This makes it a pointless ingredient to supplement. There are some links to it improving mood but that isn’t what we are looking for.

Proven fat burners are all we are after so we hope that this isn’t a trend that continues. The fact that it is in a proprietary blend is also a concern. It could be wasting a lot of space for all we know!

Glucomannan

Thankfully, this is a good ingredient for a fat burner.

Glucomannan is a dietary fiber and it absorbs water and swells in the stomach. Making you feel fuller for longer is what you want your fat burner to do.

Appetite suppressants are what you expect and this is one of the better ones.

However, we need to know the dosage to see if it is going to work.

Fursultiamine

Derived from vitamin B1 it isn’t exactly a common ingredient.

It is thought to be useful for boosting energy and increasing performance physically but this requires further study. Also, since there isn’t a lot known about its uses, its safety is also something we cannot confirm as of yet.

How much of it is there? Your guess is as good as ours!

L-Tyrosine

An amino acid that you will find more commonly in nootropic supplements.

It can battle the effects of stress which can help to work against the stimulants here and make sure the effects are delivered in a calmer manner. It will help the user to focus which is better when you are looking for a nootropic, but it can still be of use.

Examine.com do say that you should be cautious if you have a hyperactive thyroid. This is because it can raise thyroid production as it is a precursor for its synthesis.

Green Tea Extract

A very good ingredient, they have got it right with this one!

It is up there among the best you could hope for. Green Tea Extract is a proven thermogenic. This means it will heat the body up on the inside, causing it to burn fat to cool itself down again.

It contains a milder Caffeine content than Caffeine as confirmed by WebMD. They comment that Green Tea is about 2-4% Caffeine. This is good for increasing the level of both your thinking and alertness.

Green Tea is also full of polyphenols that are really useful for reducing oxidative stress and leaving a calming effect.

The problem here is that it is in a proprietary blend with two other ingredients and the total dose is 40 mg. Since most respectable supplements include round 200 – 500 mg, we are not getting a proper dosage here.

Raspberry Ketones

Not the best of ingredients.

It was once thought to be the next big thing in terms of fat burning, but since then the studies haven’t been too kind.

WebMD says that Raspberry Ketones can affect the hormone adiponectin. This is what is thought to reduce appetite and speed up how we burn fat. WebMD does continue though and say that there is no reliable scientific evidence that raspberry ketone improves weight loss when taken by people.

Like we said, not the best inclusion and you would really want to know how much space it is taking up.

Yohimbe Bark

We mentioned earlier that they have removed the controversial ingredient Synephrine. It is a shame they didn’t do the same with this one.

It is one we would definitely rather not see.

Ok, it is thought to be a useful appetite suppressant and speeds up the way our bodies burn fat but really, this isn’t worth the potential risks. Especially since a lot of proven and safe ingredients can give you these very benefits.

WebMD advise that when taken orally, it is possibly unsafe. They also say that Yohimbine has been linked to reports of severe side effects that include heart attacks and seizures.

In the USA it is also illegal to sell the man-made yohimbine hydrochloride version as a dietary supplement. For us, this speaks volumes.

Of course, the larger the dose, the bigger the risk here and since we have no idea how much we are getting this is particularly concerning.

Some of the other potential side effects include irregular heartbeat, irritability, sleep issues and more.

Kola Nut

Often used to make medicine, this seed from the nut of the same name is used to help fight fatigue.

Arguably it’s main benefits come from the fact that it contains caffeine (see WebMD). Since it is a stimulant the dosage is really needed. However, the blend it is in only contains two ingredients and totals 7 mg so it isn’t going to have too much of an impact.

The same WebMD page above advises that there is insufficient evidence to support it as a weight loss ingredient.

They advise that some early research that was sponsored by a product manufacturer showed it to cause modest weight loss when taken with ephedra and willow bark by mouth for 6 months.

The problem with this is that ephedra is a banned substance in the USA because of its dangerous side effects.

L-Carnitine

A useful ingredient that works as a metabolism booster.

The issue we have with it though is that it isn’t going to help you beyond normal levels. If you are particularly deficient then it can be of use.

We usually have plenty of it in our bodies as it is used to help us create energy from the food we eat.

The dosage would still be needed to see if it is effective or not.

NutriGlam NutriBurn Side Effects

There is a fair amount of stimulants in this product. The main thing we worry about is the inclusion of Yohimbine. It has been shown to cause side effects such as heart attacks, seizures,  include irregular heartbeat, irritability, sleep issues and more.

Also, there are a couple of ingredients that could really do with more studies to back them to ensure their safety.

The proprietary blend doesn’t help matters either. Being able to see the how much of some of the ingredients is particularly important.

NutriGlam NutriBurn Review Conclusion

To sum it up, NutriGlam NutriBurn is not a product we would recommend.

Anything that has questionable ingredients makes it a risk we don’t encourage anyone to take. Some of the ingredients just do not work but it is the potentially dangerous ones that we are not a fan of.

The inclusion of Green Tea Extract, Glucomannan, and even Caffeine are all good. They have been proven to help the body burn fat and when dosed sensibly, they can be very effective.

This is where one of the big problems lie. The dosages aren’t given. This means you are just guessing as to whether you are getting enough of them anyway.

A lot of the ingredients appear to be underdosed anyway, even the more dangerous ones. Still, we aren’t encouraging anyone to take risks and since there are far better products on the market, there is no reason for you too.

Stick to products that contain proven ingredients and that are made by reputable companies. This is the best way to ensure your body burns fat.
