Iron Labs Nutrition – Test Xtreme Review
When did the letter X become so synonymous with all things extreme? Whenever it was, it is being used today and our Iron Labs Test Xtreme Review gives us the chance to look at another testosterone booster to see if it can make it onto our top testosterone boosters list.
With a list of great products on there, it will be hard for them to make their way onto the list. If they are to stand a chance they will have to do a lot of things right.
Even if it isn’t quite up to scratch it is still worth checking out. We don’t fall for fancy slogans and creative packaging. Most of it gives us a headache anyway.
We’re much more impressed by effective ingredients, at optimal dosages. This way we can really get a real feel for how good a T booster is.
Iron Labs Test Xtreme needs to give you the following:
- More strength
- Increased energy
- Enhanced libido
- Elevated mood
If it can do all this, and safely then it stands a chance of getting the thumbs up here. Since their own website doesn’t go into a lot of detail about this product, we’ll move on.
Test Xtreme Review: Who Makes This Testosterone Booster?
Unsurprisingly, it is the brand Iron Labs Nutrition who are behind this product,
Established in 2009 in the UK they later partnered with Euro Nutrition in 2013. Since then they have completely rebranded all their products and they claim to use only the most effective ingredients which we will confirm shortly.
They make everything in their GMP certified facility and they ship worldwide. It seems that a lot of their sales are made through Amazon.
They have a fair few supplements available including creatine and metabolism and energy support.
Their website is simple and doesn’t go into a lot of detail regarding the products themselves which is a shame, their blog hasn’t been updated since 2015!
Test Xtreme Review Of Ingredients
Now to the important part, where we can really go in depth and find out what this product is about.
The good news is that although they used to use them, they no longer use proprietary blends. This would make reviewing difficult. These blends mean a lot of the ingredients do not have their dosages revealed. Instead, they are all listed under one larger ingredient.
Since they do not use them, we can get a lot of information here.
The serving schedule isn’t ideal though. Their website says to take 4 capsules every morning basically. This is when our T levels are higher anyway but also, this means your testosterone will be heightened but then fade.
Ideally, you want a supplement that you can take around 3-4 times a day to maximize the benefits.
A great ingredient and once we often see in our top recommended testosterone boosters.
It is so good because it stimulates the luteinizing hormone, this communicates with the testes to create and release more T into your system.
It also increases sperm count and can help with the Human Growth Hormone. With so many uses it is no wonder that you only really see this in the better supplements.
The 1,640 mg included is a good amount, although some of the competition use more.
Up there with the best ingredients once again.
Low levels of this are often linked to low T levels so supplementing it is important.
Our bodies actually produce their own when our skin is exposed to direct sunlight, the problem is, many of us are deficient. Clearly, the modern work-life balance means we aren’t getting enough rays – or you just live somewhere in the UK!
The 8 mcg converts to about 320 IU of Vitamin D which really is a pathetic amount, you need around ten times that for it to even start to be effective. Annoyingly under dosed here.
Another clever inclusion but this time for different reasons.
Magnesium is good for freeing up our testosterone. This is because this ingredient unbinds it from the Sex Hormone Binding Globulin. This is what stops your testosterone from being able to be used in your body.
The less effective it is, the more free T.
The 380 mcg is an effective amount.
It’s not the worst ingredient on the label, but certainly not the best.
Sure, it has the benefit of being an effective libido enhancer, but that’s where it really ends.
According to WebMD. it is a relative of the radish but more evidence is needed to see if it can truly be labeled an effective ingredient.
At 4,000 mg, it is taking up a lot of room – maybe they should have made some room for Vitamin D instead.
Often regarded as the holy grail of T boosting, if it isn’t in a supplement of this kind, it probably won’t be getting too high on our top recommended testosterone booster list.
It has so many uses, starting with the fact that it stimulates the luteinizing hormone much like DAA. This is also vital, without it our body cannot create more testosterone.
It also stops us from depleting our T levels during intense workouts. This means we are saving more for later.
A vital ingredient and when it is dosed at 25 mg like it is here, it will do wonders. One of the best ingredients in this Test Xtreme Review.
Another ingredient we are fond of.
It is a traditional medicine that is also found in a lot of Asian cuisines. If you are not getting this into your diet then you might be missing out on its libido enhancing capabilities. It also helps to regulate insulin levels. This is important since when this is in check, it allows T to really thrive.
Their website doesn’t actually give the dosage for some reason but we have seen reports of it being around 300 mg, if this is the case then it is a good amount if a little high.
This water-soluble vitamin is really another name for Vitamin B5.
A bit of a suspect inclusion since it doesn’t really seem to have many benefits and according to examine.com it is rare to be deficient and supplementing it does not appear to give you much of a boost.
If they could just label these as it would be a little simpler but here we have Vitamin B6.
It is an ingredient we definitely like to see because it stops your T from being bound and ineffective. This ensures there is more testosterone in your system so it can actually be used.
Best known for helping the immune system and part of a healthy diet since it is often found in fruit and veg. It does show some promise as being good for suppressing estrogen but not enough evidence is out there to convince us.
Found in various green veg it can be good for muscle repair aiding the recovery process.
One of those ingredients that your not exactly screaming out for but can be useful.
Often credited with aiding prostate health it does have other benefits for sexual health.
It has also been linked to increasing T levels in men over 30, incidentally, this is the demographic who need it the most since our T levels drop year on year around this time.
This isn’t exactly a top T boosting ingredient but it does have other benefits for the body. You are most likely to see this in pre-workouts and nootropic supplements but in term of testosterone, it has its uses.
It is thought to be good for protecting the health of your testes and support sperm production so not the worst ingredient.
Test Xtreme Side Effects
The good news is that there does not appear to be anything in this product that should concern the user.
They no longer use proprietary blends which is a bonus.
Test Xtreme Review Pros and Cons
- Some top testosterone booster ingredients
- Some effective dosages
- No proprietary blends
- Some ineffective ingredients
- Vitamin D severely underdosed
- Suggested serving not ideal
Iron Labs Nutrition – Test Xtreme Review Conclusion
Whilst this isn’t one of the worst products we have seen, there is still plenty of room for improvement.
It would appear that they are taking strides in the right direction though. They no longer use proprietary blends in this T booster and they do have most of the top ingredients.
The problem is that they are not dosed as effectively as some of the competition that have made it on our Top Testosterone Boosters list.
All in all, this is a decent product, it has the likes of Zinc and DAA. If Vitamin D was dosed higher things might be different, but the awful dosage is a bit embarrassing.
The suggested serving also means the benefits will not be felt all day long, so it misses the mark.
It’s pretty much a minefield out there, especially if you don’t know what you are looking for.
