Core Alpha Review

Today we are looking at another T booster to see just how far it can compete with our better rated supplements. Our Core Alpha review brings a popular product to the table.

Our goal of searching the planet for the ultimate testosterone booster continues with Core Alpha, from the people at Core Nutritionals.

They believe their products is an ‘’Ultra-Potent Natural Hormone Booster’’, so two things to check as we go through our review the. Just how potent is it and how far does it go towards boosting hormones?

It is also good that it is suitable for vegetarians. They have made it an inclusive product that can be used by almost anyone looking to boost their testosterone.

Of course they will talk up their product. But just 4 of the things they say Core Alpha does is:

  1. Maintains a healthy testosterone level
  2. Promote Muscle Growth
  3. Maintain a balance of Hormones
  4. Stimulates testosterone production

Like we said, they will promise the right things. And these are fairly typical of a testosterone booster but they also claim to use all natural ingredients. With many of them back up by scientific research. A strong promise as this ticks a lot of the boxes of what we like to see, so just how good a T-booster is this?

Core Alpha Review: Who Makes This Product?

It’s time to meet the Millers. That’s, professional bodybuilder Doug Miller and his wife Stephanie who is a professional figure competitor who are the couple behind Core Nutritionals.

Backed by a range of supplements to their name. They have covered all bases when it comes to a fitness and lifting regime. You don’t have to search long to find a whole list of testimonials with many people willing to put their name to the benefits of the brand.

They clearly know what makes a good supplement. And don’t seem to scrimp on the better ingredients, but we will go into much more details on this shortly.

As always, we like to see a company that is anti-proprietary blends. Thankfully Doug and Stephanie don’t go anywhere near them. So clearly this is a company that knows what makes a quality supplement

Core Alpha Ingredients

We should say here, our preference is a schedule that spreads the Testosterone enhancing ingredients throughout the day.

The fact that Core Alpha is supposed to be taken just twice a day means you get an initial hit at the gym then just before bed (which is when they recommend you take the second). However, this is not spread out across the day which is why we like a supplement that is taken at least 3 times every 24 hours.

Having said this, the ingredients and dosages look impressive from first sight. Let’s take a closer look.

So let’s get to it, first up…

N-Methyl-D-aspartic Acid

A bit of a variation on this popular T-booster ingredient, but are they being smart? The ingredient itself sure is, with the methyl side of it being useful for restoring the methyl group that is missing. When this is missing, the estrogen in the body can work it’s negative effects on testosterone. Once this is restored, there is a balance that allows testosterone to thrive once again.

This would be great if it was as easy as that for it to be effective. However, although the inclusion is great, the dosage is not.

Many studies show that an effective amount is 2,000 – 3,000 mg, yet Core Alpha have only included 30 mg. There is evidence to show that the Methyl strain of D-Aspartic Acid requires a lower dosage. Therefore, it is significantly under dosed.

3-Desoxy, 7-Keto DHEA

To the regular ear, you might assume this is the weird name given to a faraway star. But it is not! It’s full name to those who don’t know it well is Dehydroepiandrosterone which is found in the body.

It is known to be an effective testosterone booster, but whilst it does this it also increases the amount of estrogen in your body.

Its inclusion is not so bad because of the effects of the N-Methyl-D-aspartic Acid which if you remember balances estrogen so the effect isn’t so bad. However you would like to see more estrogen suppressors included for added effect. This is especially the case because the N-Methyl-D-aspartic Acid is such a small amount.

The first two ingredients are good. But so far we think there could be more of them included.

Brassaiopsis Glomerulata Leaf Extract

Good for suppressing the female hormones. This vietnamese leaf has only one real experiment to back up it’s qualities for a T-booster and this is still considered to be in the early phase of study.

Maybe Core Alpha are ahead of the game here and this is an ingredient you will find more and more frequently used by supplement producers. Or, this could be an in effective ingredient and therefore a bit of a waste.

Time will tell. But in the meantime we can’t give them too much credit for its inclusion here.

Coleus Forskohlii

I don’t know why but so far, all the names of ingredients seem like they were made up. We assure you they are not, and it gets simpler after this ingredient.

Linked to the mint family this has been shown to be effective at raising testosterone levels as well as burning body fat.

Although the tests have not been extensive. It is believed that this has enough promise to say it’s inclusion is done on merit. The 250 mg is an effective amount.

Mucuna Pruriens Seed Extract

Often found in many of the better testosterone boosters, its inclusion is definitely a welcome one here.

It is effective at reducing the amount of prolactin in the body which is good for a more ideal level of estrogen. Less of this means your body has space for more testosterone.

It has also been found to inhibit cortisol, great for a mood lift.

Vitamin D3

Most men are deficient in Vitamin D3. This seems mad since it is so naturally occuring – your body produces it’s own when your skin is exposed to sunlight. But because in the Western world, most people are working in an office during the daylight hours they miss out.

Many studies back up the promise that Vitamin D3 is great for producing more testosterone. The 3,000 mg included is within the optimal amount for this ingredient to be most effective.

If you have read any of our other reviews, you will know that any supplement that includes Zinc (and it really can be beneficial in almost any supplement) is great because we are often deficient in it.

Supplementation of this ingredient is often taken because our diets do not contain enough of it, yet it is of great importance for testosterone production.

It triggers your brain to create more of the luteinizing hormone which is important for letting your body know how much testosterone you require.

The 30 mg included in Core Alpha is within the daily allowance of Zinc.

Core Alpha Side Effects

Because the ingredients are natural and the dosages are there to be seen. There isn’t anything included that should give off negative side effects, unless you have allergies.

Core Alpha Review Pros and Cons

Core Alpha Review Conclusion

There’s a lot to like about this T-booster. Firstly, any vegetarians who find it difficult to get effective amounts of protein in their diet will benefit from the fact that this supplement is safe for them to use.

There are some very good ingredients here. Many of them feature on our list of top testosterone boosting ingredients.

However, we would ideally like to see more estrogen suppressing ingredients in a T-booster. The dosages could use a bit of a re work as well, some of the ingredients are pretty ineffective when compared to some of the competition, although the names on the label look good, they don’t do as much as we would like.

The servings aren’t too bad, twice a day will still do a job for you, but if you want the benefits to last throughout the day and night then you might want to look for a product that works around the clock.

All in all we like this product, there’s nothing too wrong with it, although there are things it could do better. See if it made our top testosterone boosting supplements by reading our run through.
