Here we have the US-based company behind the product, they were founded back in 2001.
It is often a good sign when a company manages to achieve some longevity in such a competitive market.
You get a real sense of the company size as they have won a good amount of awards over the years and even ship to a big 40,000 retailers across the globe. Their products include everything you could think of in this industry, just a couple are their amino acid supplements and fat burners.
They have some endorsements. These include the likes of fitness athletes and bikini pros. We liked that they have included information for athletes and bodybuilding on their site, showing attention to the customer’s needs.
BSN have decided to sell their products on Amazon. A lot of companies choose not to go for this approach as they feel it lessens their brand – listing alongside a lot of the low-quality products on there could be seen as damaging.
Still, as long as this product has what we need, then who cares!
Still, the size of the company has no bearing on whether or not they make a good pre-workout, believe us we have seen it all!
BSN Endorush Pre Workout Ingredients
This is where we can really get to see if it will work.
The early signs are good. BSN have not included any proprietary blends in this product. This means we get to see all the dosages and can tell if the ingredients will be effective.
A good start and an ingredient found in many of our top recommended pre-workouts.
It’s certainly a strong start and Examine.com advise that Creatine is often used by athletes to increase power output and lean mass.
It is an ingredient that is well supported and is safe to use. This is great because it has so many key uses. Creatine has been found to help physical and muscular performance. By giving you more strength where you need it, it even aids recovery levels.
There are studies that prove how Creatine can benefit the body at any time. One study tells of how supplementing Creatine during arm flexor strength training was found to lead to greater increases in arm flexor muscle strength, upper arm muscle area, and fat-free mass than strength training alone.
The dosage of 3 g is a big and useful one.
An ingredient we don’t really like to see now.
WebMD says that it as a nonessential amino acid that is produced by the body. The potential side effects are mild when compared to some of the other bad ingredients we see, but they are still annoying.
Beta-Alanine has been found to cause paresthesia. This is a tingling sensation of the skin, and it does pass within a couple of hours.
This isn’t the only issue. Despite being a popular ingredient, it doesn’t get a lot of support for what supplement companies like to say it can do. Beta-Alanine is mostly thought to be able to fight fatigue, but without a lot of backing, it is hard to really support its inclusion.
Studies have shown that anything around 800 mg or above is able to cause paresthesia. The dosage of 1,800 mg is much higher so watch out for this.
Black Pepper Extract
An interesting ingredient to include.
This has been included to enhance the capabilities of the other ingredients. Since it is included in many different types of supplements, it is a popular ingredient.
Of course, it only works if the other nutrients are proven and safe. We will find out just how useful this is as we go deeper into the product.
An amino acid, but not the best of ingredients for what we are after.
It is a much more likely find in a testosterone booster.
This is because it can increase blood flow to make sure your T goes where it is supposed to. This will aid your gains. It also has benefits for sexual health as well so it just might be a decent inclusion.
WebMD advises that there is insufficient evidence to support its use for enhancing exercise performance. It might help you to work for longer, but it is unlikely to affect strength during exercise.
The main issue with L-Arginine though is that it is not easily absorbed by the body. There are better ingredients for what it is supposed to do anyway.
The 1.5 g included could be put to better use.
Another famous pre-workout ingredient, we like to see Citrulline wherever we can.
It shows a good knowledge of what should go into a pre-workout and better for blood flow than the previous ingredient because it has been proven to work.
The big gains will be easier to achieve because of this ingredient. Your nitric oxide levels will be increased which will really help with the big pumps.
It is derived from watermelons and turns into Arginine in the body. This helps with creatine synthesis, but we already have a good amount of that anyway.
The 1.5 g included is a decent amount.
Another version of Creatine that will enhance muscle performance.
This version is just good for making the supplement more soluble which is never a bad thing really.
By improving the consistency it can be good and it is very well absorbed by the body. The problem lies with the fact that there aren’t a lot of studies conducted on this version so its safety is something that can’t be completely guaranteed.
The dosage of 1 g seems to be safe one though.
There isn’t a lot of readily available information on this ingredient.
It has been deemed as likely safe by the FDA but in terms of a pre-workout, we are not sure why it has been included. Used in dental products but this isn’t going to get you huge pumps, just some healthier molars!
Seems to be taking up some room unnecessarily and there is a reason that you won’t find this in hardly any other supplements.
Much of the same here, understudied, unproven and a strange inclusion from BSN.
We’re not convinced by either of the last ingredients. It’s always frustrating when you see filler on the label. Every ingredient and dosage is crucial for making sure a supplement is worth buying.
A very common ingredient in almost any supplement.
This is because it is so versatile. It is found in everything from fat burners to nootropics. In terms of pre-workouts, the energy increase is going to be of great use.
Caffeine has also been found to boost alertness and helps the user to stay focused.
The anhydrous side basically means it is a powdered form. Also, this form is easily absorbed by the body and gets to works fast.
BSN Endorush Pre Workout has included a sensible 150 mg of Caffeine. They have also included some Caffeine from Green Tea. Since this is a milder form, you would hope that the total will be well tolerated.
Of course, this can be a lot of Caffeine to consume in one go for some people.
We recommend that you build up your tolerance instead of diving straight in. This is the best way of avoiding potential side effects of too much Caffeine which include insomnia, rapid heartbeat, headaches and more.
This has been included to boost the cognitive side of this product.
All pre-workouts give you ingredients that boost the way your brain works. It is derived from the Asian fruit sometimes known as Dragon Eye. Examine.com advise that extracts appear quite neuroprotective and may boost cognition.
We don’t like the ‘may’ here and only proven ingredients really impress us. Especially since there are plenty of ingredients that have been proven to work through human trials.
With 150 mg seems to be within the recommended dosage.
It’s definitely a shame to see this ingredient to finish with.
Especially since this product was going ok so far! Yohimbine is believed to be an appetite suppressant and it can speed up the way we burn fat. This isn’t what we’re after in this supplement anyway.
It is the potential side effects that really worry us. WebMD says that taking Yohimbine orally is possibly unsafe. They also say that it has been linked to reports of severe effects that include heart attacks and seizures, irritability, irregular heartbeat, sleep issues and more.
The 26 mg is on the higher side for a lot of supplements as well.
A bad end to their ingredients.

This product was doing quite well to begin with, but towards the end, we saw Yohimbine. This has been found to cause various side effects as we mentioned previously. Anything that is linked to irregular heartbeat, seizures, heart attacks and more does not get our blessing.
Yohimbine has even been banned in some countries which says it all.
Then there is Beta-Alanine. Although the side effects are annoying, they’re not as severe. Expect paraesthesia to have you itching a little, but this will pass.

Although there is some good to this product, the bad just stands out too much.
The fact that Yohimbine is banned in some countries should be enough to put some people off. The side effects definitely lean towards the alarming side.
This was a shame really because this product does have some good about it. The positive ingredients can really be effective, we just don’t encourage anyone to take chances with their health.
For a company that sells so well on Amazon, you would have thought they would have gone for proven and safe ingredients the whole way through.
For a company of their size, you might think that they should know better. However, it is often the bigger companies that take these sort of risks. It just shows that bigger companies, do not always make better products.
Risk is not a word we like when it comes to supplements. Keep it clean, keep it safe and make sure it is effective.
The good news is that there are plenty of good products on the market that ticks all these boxes. So there’s no need to compromise.
