BPI Sports Roxylean Fat Burner Review

When looking at the bigger supplements brands you have to treat them the same as everyone else. Will our BPI Sports Roxylean Fat Burner Review brings us a product that impresses, or are they as guilty as some of the smaller brands for making sub-par products?

We will be looking at how effective this product is and see if it is a good option for you.

Of course, the ingredients and dosages are all important, but what does it need to do to impress?

  • Burn fat effectively
  • Be safe
  • Suppress appetite
  • Increase energy

If it can tick all these boxes, then it has a chance of making it onto our top recommended fat burners list.

Let’s start by getting to know it a little better.

BPI Sports Roxylean Fat Burner Review: Who Makes This Fat Burner?

BPI SportsBPI RoxyLean Fat Burner

Florida based, this company came from humble beginnings and have made their way to the top in terms of company size.

They have a slick and professional website it isn’t just made hastily to sell a product.

They make just about everything you can think of from protein and T- Boosters to pre-workouts and beyond.

We like that there is a 30-day returns policy. Some companies give you a bit extra but there are plenty that don’t give you anything at all.

They have an average of 3 out of 5 on Trustpilot. This isn’t the most impressive but they have included this on their site which does make them seem more honest. You will find a lot of their products in stores which also shows you the size of what they are operating.

Since it sells well on Amazon, it has caught our attention. This is an approach that not everyone takes since there are a lot of low-quality products on there, some believe it lessens the reputation of a company.

What does this all mean for their fat burner? Let’s take a look.

This is where we can really take a look and see if it will work.

The early signs aren’t great. There is a big proprietary blend that covers most ingredients. This means we don’t get to see a lot of the dosages.

Also, the serving suggestion is just one BPI Sports Roxylean Fat Burner pill a day. This doesn’t spread out the fat burning benefits in the same way as a lot of other options but let’s see what each capsule contains.

Basically, this is Vitamin B1.

Examine.com tells us that it has limited benefits when taken by a healthy subject and that deficiencies are not common.

Not a great start then and certainly not an ingredient found in our top recommended fat burners.

It is only really if you have high blood glucose that you can be at a risk of a deficiency. There are some that believe Vitamin B1 to be able to help regulate appetite but deficiencies are only really relevant to those who have a poor diet or who abuse alcohol.

It works in a similar way to other B-vitamins in that it can help with energy metabolism. By aiding the process that we convert food into energy it does have some uses.

The dosage of 185 mg is a generous amount.

Really, this is vitamin B3 but it is a more common ingredient than the last in fat burners.

It may have been included to help with insulin levels and although it is a more likely find in multivitamins it does help in the way we create energy. It breaks down carbs to use them for fuel so it is a useful ingredient.

When you take on excess amounts it passes through your urine and Examine.com does advise that for B3 to be effective you need around a gram of it.

The 30 mg in BPI Sports Roxylean pills isn’t going to be enough then.

Caffeine Anhydrous

A more common ingredient for a fat burner and a good one at that.

The energy increase will be very welcome in the gym and Caffeine has been found to speed up metabolism making it a useful fat burner ingredient.

The Caffeine Anhydrous version we are getting here is the powdered form. This is good as it means it will be absorbed easily by the body and get to work quickly. This is also the form that is found in many energy drinks.

The added focus will also be very useful, especially in the gym.

The main problem is the dosage. Because this is the first ingredient in the proprietary blend, we have no idea how much we are getting. Sure, the blend totals 510 mg and there are lots of ingredients in there which makes us believe there is a fine amount.

Their website advises that one capsule contains the equivalent of 3 cups of coffee so you will want to keep an eye on your caffeine consumption.

The idea behind this ingredient is that it can help to curve hunger and decrease bloating. There are also claims that it can work as a diuretic which means you will urinate more which prevents water retention.

WebMD advises that there is insufficient evidence to support its use of increasing urine though.

Examine.com also advises that Limonene a molecule found in high amounts in Lemons is for some reason marketed as a fat burner despite minimal evidence of fat burning effects.

It seems to be one of those ingredients that are all hype with a minimal amount of substance behind its benefits.

We don’t have the dosage anyway so we wouldn’t be able to tell if it could help.

Adhatoda Leaf

An ingredient that doesn’t appear to have any direct links to fat burning.

The main benefits appear to be its use for opening the breathing tubes but as according to WebMD there is not enough information to know how it might work.

An unconvincing ingredient.

A controversial ingredient and one we look out for.

This isn’t in a good way though.

It is thought to be an effective appetite suppressant and one that can speed up the way we burn fat. However, the risks far outweigh any benefits.

WebMD says that when taken orally, it is possibly unsafe. They also tell us that Yohimbine has been linked to reports of severe side effects that include heart attacks and seizures.

In the USA it is actually illegal to sell the man-made yohimbine hydrochloride version as a dietary supplement. This alone should put most people off.

The bigger the dose, the high the risk of course and because it is in the proprietary blend, we don’t know how much we are getting.

Some of the other potential side effects of Yohimbine include irregular heartbeat, irritability, sleep issues and more.

Goldenseal Root

Another understudied and unconvincing ingredient.

We aren’t the only ones who fail to be impressed by it. WebMD tells us that many of the important chemicals in Goldenseal are poorly absorbed when taken by mouth and might not reach the concentration needed to have significant effects in humans.

Also, none of the most common traits it is associated with involve fat burning or even anything linked to it.

A disappointing ingredient and one we can see no use for in this type of supplement.

White Willow Root

A more useful ingredient that has anti-inflammatory benefits.

There aren’t a lot of studies to back it up for its use in a fat burner and a lot of sources actually advise you to act with caution when using it.

In terms of potential side effects, WebMD does say that itching, rash, and allergic reactions can be a result of consuming, as well as an upset stomach. They also say that it is likely to be safe, but not when taken for longer periods.

This might be why you find some BPI Sports Roxylean allergic reaction posts on the web although the formula has changed over the years.

The dosage would be good to know for this ingredient.

Chinese Skullcap

An ingredient that is linked to reducing anxiety.

This is why it is often found in nootropic supplements but we see the sense here.

Anything that can promote relaxation is going to be welcome when you consume stimulants. Since this product contains a high amount, you will find this to be a good ingredient.

It is often used to treat headaches and inflammation and is a traditional ingredient used for 100’s of years.

In order to know how much of an impact it can have, you really want the dosage information.

The final ingredient but not a great one.

We have already been through why we don’t like to see Yohimbine. Since this works in a similar way, we aren’t impressed.

Worryingly, Examine.com says that there isn’t a lot known about this ingredients potency. The potential side effects of Yohimbine make this a concern.

We can see why they think it is a good ingredient. It has fat burning potential according to some sources but we don’t want any of our readers to act as lab rats.

Until further research has been conducted, proving it’s safety and effectiveness, we would rather stay clear.

BPI Sports Roxylean Fat Burner Side Effects

We would like to be able to say that there is nothing to worry about here.

The main issue we have is with Yohimbine. Since Rauwolfia works in a similar way, this is a bit of a worry as well.

Yohimbine has been found to cause potential side effects that can include heart attacks, irregular heartbeat, seizures, sleep issues irritability, and more.

The proprietary blend makes it worse as well since we don’t know if there is a dosage worth worrying about or not.

BPI Sports Roxylean Fat Burner Review Pros and Cons

BPI Sports Roxylean Fat Burner Review Pros

  • Proprietary blend

BPI Sports Roxylean Fat Burner Review Conclusion

Ultimately, this is not a fat burner that we would recommend.

It doesn’t tick enough of the boxes and of course, safety is a big one.

Even if it was safe, it doesn’t have enough of the proven ingredients we like to see.

There aren’t enough appetite suppressants and it is even missing natural thermogenic ingredients like Cayenne Pepper and Green Tea Extract.

Since there are good, natural alternatives to some of their questionable selections, this makes it a poor option.

It probably sells well on Amazon based on reputation. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what a big supplements company brings out, when they put their name on a label, people pay attention.

Thankfully, there are enough people who do their homework, look at the ingredients on the label and make an informed decision. Any label that has Yohimbine on it should raise a few eyebrows but a quick look into it and you will see it is one to avoid.

The game can be said for this product really. A lot of people report a noticeable energy increase. This isn’t surprising given the number of stimulants.

Still, this doesn’t mean fat loss. Your body might feel this difference but it won’t be burning fat as it could be with a better product.
