4 Gauge vs BSN Endorush Pre Workout
A couple of big names in today’s 4 Gauge vs BSN Endorush Pre Workout comparison.
When it comes to gains, bigger means better so which of these products is going to give us what we want?
In order to impress, safety, of course, comes first. But, for a pre-workout, we want a product that can provide the following:
- Increased energy
- Enhanced focus
- Greater muscle pumps
- Big gains!
Anything less than this and the other will surely be victorious!
Let’s start by getting to know the people behind them first.
4 Gauge vs BSN Endorush Pre Workout: Who Makes These Products?
Here we have the team behind 4 Gauge.
They make everything by the book and to the approval of the FDA and GMP. Based in the UK, they ship directly from there as well as from the USA.
We like that they include a big money back guarantee with their products. Also, Roar Ambition review and amend their ingredients regularly. This ensures that the customer is always getting an up to date version.
Their endorsements are also impressive. UFC fighter Diego Sanchez puts his name to their fat burner, Instant Knockout. They also have former Mr. Universe Robby Robinson putting his name to their T booster TestoFuel.
With so many 4 Gauge before and after profiles online, it appears to be a product of choice for a lot of people.
Bio-Engineered Supplements and Nutrition
Founded in 2001, this company is among the biggest out there.
In such a competitive market, it is good to see a bit of longevity being achieved.
With some awards under their belt, they ship to a huge 40,000 retailers around the world. As you might expect, they sell everything from amino acids to fat burners.
Their endorsements include bikini pros and fitness athletes and they seem to sell a lot of products on Amazon.
This isn’t an approach that everyone takes as some feel that the low-quality products that can sometimes be found on there lessens a brand. Still, if this product proves to be as good as we hope it does, it doesn’t matter at all!
4 Gauge vs BSN Endorush Pre Workout Ingredients
This is where we can really see which is going to win.
The early signs are good for both. Neither uses proprietary blends meaning we get to see exactly what goes into each serving.
A great start for both products.
Examine.com describes it best by saying that Creatine is often used by athletes to increase power output and lean mass.
It has proven to be a safe and effective ingredient and what is most important is that it has the backing of numerous studies. Creatine has been shown to aid physical and muscular performance. By giving you more strength where you need it, as well as helping with recovery levels.
Often used post workout because of this very reason but it should be noted that it can get to work on recovery during your workout.
This is because studies show that Creatine can benefit the body at any time. One study tells us that supplementing Creatine during arm flexor strength training was found to lead to greater increases in arm flexor muscle strength, upper arm muscle area, and fat-free mass than strength training alone.
The 1 g in 4 Gauge is an effective amount that will help with the above. The 3 g in BSN Endorush Pre Workout will be that bit more useful as well.
Again, a very important ingredient for a pre-workout.
Both products are showing that they know what they are doing. Citrulline is useful for promoting increased blood flow. This is what helps you to get the big gains that may have evaded you so far. The nitric oxide levels that it also enhances will be great for the big pumps too.
Commonly derived from watermelons it turns into Arginine in the body. This helps with Creatine synthesis. This means even more creatine for both.
At 1.5 g, BSN Endorush Pre Workout has included a low amount. The 6 g in 4 Gauge is a huge amount that will really benefit the user.
Another great inclusion and an ingredient that is useful in almost any type of supplement.
It can help with focus and keeping you alert making it good for a nootropic (as well as a pre-workout of course!). Then there is the fact that it can boost metabolism making it good for a fat burner.
The energy increase is what we are after today. It is fast acting and will really give you that boost as soon as you get to the gym. By helping to increase output, it is a great ingredient.
The anhydrous part just means that it is a powdered form that is easily absorbed by the body and works fast.
4 Gauge has been sensible here and given us a good, safe and effective 150 mg. It should be well within many people’s daily tolerance levels.
BSN Endorush has included 150 mg of Caffeine Anhydrous but they have also included Caffeine from Green Tea and/or Green Coffee Bean. The Caffeine from Green Tea is milder in its impact but it could still result in a high total for some.
This might require the user to build up their tolerance. WebMD says that taking too much can cause nervousness, nausea, insomnia, stomach irritation, increased heart rate, and other side effects.
A good ingredient to include as everyone in the gym needs to maintain a sharp mind.
It’s hard to take your training to the next level if your mind isn’t in the right place. Rhodiola is a Scandinavian herb that is often credited with being able to raise spirits.
The main benefit seems to be added focus. With so many distractions in the gym, many people will find this to be very useful.
It will get you in the right shape mentally which can mean you get even more out of every session.
Examine.com comments that it is popular for its adaptogenic properties (reducing fatigue and exhaustion in prolonged stressful situations).
The 100 mg is a nice boost.
4 Gauge is showing all the signs of a well thought out product, here’s another clever ingredient
Because most pre-workouts contain stimulants, you find a lot of these sport of ingredients to compensate. L-Theanine is a very good option because it has the backing of various studies to show it can help the body stay calm.
It keeps the user in control even when the likes of Caffeine are at work. L-Theanine is derived from Green Tea leaves and it ensures that Caffeine positive effects last even longer. Examine.com says that it helps promote relaxation without drowsiness, making it synergistic with Caffeine.
The Caffeine content in 4 Gauge isn’t even that high comparatively but they have still made sure that the user is getting a positive experience when using their product by including L-Theanine.
The 200 mg is a good dosage once again.
Another effective ingredient for a pre-workout.
It is one we like to see because it can help with energy levels as well as increasing fat burning. It can help the user to get even more out of every session and get you shredded.
WebMD confirms this by saying that Acetyl L-Carnitine helps the body to produce energy. They also say that it is important for heart and brain function, muscle movement, and many other body processes.
The 500 mg is another optimal dosage that will really work.
Anything that enhances blood flow has its place in a pre-workout.
With plasma nitrate levels on the rise, your workout will be even better. The added stamina means you can get even more from your session and Red Beet has been proven to be a natural and safe option.
With added blood flow, you can achieve those big muscle pumps. These bigger gains will be easier to make possible because of this ingredient.
At 300 mg, it is another good amount.
Coconut Water Powder
Because 4 Gauge is full of ingredients that are going to get you burning a lot of energy and getting through the bigger weights, you need to make sure you are hydrated properly.
Coconut Water Powder is great for this very reason. When your body is depleted of what it needs, this can result in injury. This is an ingredient that will keep your body topped up with electrolytes and keep fluid supplies at a healthy level.
The 300 mg is definitely a sensible inclusion.
BSN Endorush Pre Workout
It’s not a great start to their individual ingredients.
Beta-Alanine is one we often look out for, and not in a good way.
Yes, it is a popular ingredient but as WebMD describes, it is a nonessential amino acid that is produced by the body. Also, the side effects put us off.
This is because Beta-Alanine has been shown to cause paresthesia. There are worse side effects from other ingredients of course but it is still inconvenient.
A tingling sensation of the skin, it passes within a couple of hours but this is not what you want in the gym.
Another issue with Beta-Alanine is that it doesn’t have a lot of strong support when it comes to its plus points. It is mostly believed to be able to fight fatigue, but without a lot of backing, there are clearly better options out there.
Anything around 800 mg or above is believed to be able to cause paresthesia. The dosage of 1.6 g in BSN Endorush Pre Workout is a lot higher so watch out for this.
Black Pepper Extract
Usually, this is a good ingredient in supplements.
It has been found to enhance the capabilities of other ingredients when included alongside them.
This is only a good thing if the other ingredients are going to benefit your workout.
So far it is a mixed bag, as we go on we can see if this is a good ingredient or if it is just going to make things worse!
The 5 mg is a common dosage.
This is an amino acid, but it is one that is better placed in testosterone boosters.
It is another that increases blood flow and gets your T to where you want it. There are also general benefits for sexual health.
The issue with L-Arginine though is that it is not easily absorbed by the body. There are better ingredients for blood flow in this product already and they would have been better off just giving us more of them.
The 1.5 is a high dosage, but it is a bit wasteful.
Essentially, this is just a version of Creatine but one that will enhance muscle performance.
The Nitrate variant appears to be good for making the supplement more soluble so we can see the sense behind it.
In terms of benefiting the body directly, they already give us plenty of Creatine. However, if the consistency is better, it can make the product easier to absorb by the body.
The main issue with it though is that there aren’t many studies that have been conducted on this type so just how good it is, it is hard to say.
The dosage of 1 g appears to be safe one though.
An ingredient that there isn’t a lot of information on.
Calcium Glycerophosphate has been deemed as likely safe by the FDA but in terms of a pre-workout, it is hard to think of why it has been included. It is better known for being included in dental products but this isn’t going to get you huge pumps, just some healthier fangs!
We don’t like to see filler and this is certainly an ingredient that takes up some unnecessary room. This is why you won’t find it in many supplements.
Very much the same as the previous ingredient. Without many studies, it remains an unproven and strange inclusion.
We haven’t seen anything from the last two ingredients to warrant their place in a pre-workout.
For a cognitive boost, this seems to be their ingredient.
We like to see brain boosters in our pre workouts as it can really enhance your workout. This is derived from the Asian fruit and is sometimes known as Dragon Eye. Examine.com says that extracts appear quite neuroprotective and may boost cognition.
Although we’re not a fan of the ‘may’ here it is an improvement on the previous two ingredients.
With 150 mg seems to be within the recommended dosage.
This ingredient is another we look out for, and once again, not in a good way.
It is a shame to end on Yohimbine as the potential side effects are worrying. It is thought to be a useful appetite suppressant and one that can speed up how we burn fat. Still, this isn’t what we are looking for.
WebMD advise that taking Yohimbine orally is possibly unsafe. They go on to say that it has been linked to reports of severe side effects that include heart attacks and seizures, irritability, irregular heartbeat, sleep issues and more.
The 26 mg is on the high side compared to a lot of other supplements as well.
4 Gauge vs BSN Endorush Pre Workout Side Effects
For 4 Gauge, there isn’t anything in their product that causes us concern. All ingredients are natural, safe and optimally dosed.
The same can’t quite be said for BSN Endorush Pre Workout. This is because they include Yohimbine mainly. We have covered the damage this could do but it includes heart attacks and seizures, irritability, irregular heartbeat, sleep issues and more.
Then there is Beta-Alanine. This can cause paresthesia. While this isn’t so bad and passes in a couple of hours, the tingling sensation can be annoying.
Don’t forget that the Caffeine content is also quite high. Anything that is over 200 mg in one go can be a lot for some people. The 150 mg of Caffeine Anhydrous, combined with the 150 mg in Green Tea/Green Coffee Bean (we don’t like that they can’t tell us the source anyway!) might need building up to.

A worthy victor today, this product gives you everything you need, and more.
It isn’t often that we can say this about supplements. 4 Gauge contains all the best pre-workout ingredients you would hope to see and delivers them in safe and effective dosages.
You can see how it fares against one of the industry’s biggest brands. With two potentially dangerous ingredients, BSN Endorush Pre Workout is not an option we would recommend.
They had some good pre-workout ingredients, but with too much filler it isn’t going to get you the huge gains that 4 Gauge can.
That’s the good thing about today’s winner, it only uses ingredients that will really aid your workout, there is something for all elements including focus, gains, hydration, energy and more.
This is only possible when a product uses proven ingredients. This is what 4 Gauge has done today.
